Gastronomic tuna seminars… There’s no time left!
Those who have seen us before, know it already – every year we hold our Almadraba gastronomic tuna seminars, an event which is already an absolute tradition in our hotel and that attracts both guests and local residents with the opportunity of trying very original dishes based on this traditional ingredient. We’ve had the opportunity of giving everyone visiting our restaurants a different offer not once, not twice but three times, combining the best of Cadiz tradition with high contemporary cuisine.
From tuna tartar with avocado to tuna loin with foie and including other original dishes such as the tuna volcanic stone – an original recipe with this fish wrapped in black tempura, giving it a “rocky” appearance that surprises as much for its difference as for its delicious flavour.
We have been undertaking this initiative for three years now with a great response from our public and every new season we try to improvise more and to provide more original – but equally delicious – choices. As always, one of our guiding rules is well-being, which we apply to all the areas of our services. So this year we are increasing our range of plates even more with innovative recipes in which the common ingredient is the Almadraba Bluefin Tuna. This is good for the health with its fatty acids, omega-3 and eicosapentaenoic, which help to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood, reduce the risks of suffering from illnesses such as arteriosclerosis or thrombosis and prevent vascular illnesses as well as helping to reduce the symptoms of others, such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Taking all of this into account, every year we create a specific menu of between 15 and 20 new dishes for these seminars which can be tasted in our two leading restaurants, the Beach Club La Bahía, with incredible sea views, and the sober and elegant Restaurante Zahara.
The new creations that we have developed for the 3rd Almadraba Bluefin Tuna Seminars in the hotel include a notably original dessert, a cake that combines tuna, chocolate and ice cream, giving a different touch to a dessert which, without losing its sweetness, increases its originality with a combination of flavours through contrasts that make it delicious.
