Seaside spinning: well-being, leisure and sports combined while viewing the Atlantic
As well as being a Premium establishment, the Royal Hideaway Sancti Petri is a leader in the ambit of well-being, which has gained it awards such as the World Travel Awards, known as the Oscars of tourism, in the Best Spa Resort in Spain category. We are constantly concerned with well-being and we’re now advocating the enjoyment of open air sports in a different way as an initiative that considerably increases the benefits of these activities.
In this case, we have chosen spinning while viewing the sea at sunset. Doesn’t that appeal? For this we have created the new concept of Seaside spinning to purge toxins through making an effort on an exercise bicycle while enjoying complete relaxation thanks to the place in which it is practiced – on one of the hotel’s roofs with views over the Atlantic Ocean and the Barrosa beach, all accompanied by a real tropical botanical garden. This exercise is practiced while watching the fabulous sunset in this area of Cadiz, bathed in nature that encourages well-being. This new way of spinning is much more attractive and pleasing as well as increasing the results normally obtained from this sport. This is achieved thanks to the relaxation provided by the exercise while watching the sea and the sun setting over an enclave with a view almost to the Strait of Gibraltar.
This is also an exercise which we carry out in small groups, thus emphasising the personalised treatment that always stems from our services, all under the supervision of our Wellness Personal Assistant or WPA, María Casado, an exclusive figure focussed on the well-being of our guests who takes care of their lifestyle, food, treatments in our U Spa, etc.
With this sport you’ll tone and fortify the internal system in sessions of approximately 45 minutes, with special emphasis on the legs and buttocks. This sport provides aerobic and anaerobic training thanks to the changes in rhythm together with the background music which is beneficial to the heart, the most important muscle in the body and one requiring specific training. This sport is also widely used for the abdominal area, depending on the posture on the bicycle and, finally, it is positive for countering stress because of the adrenalin it releases.
